2. Travelers from the listed countries require to be tested at the airport
Permanent residents and Canadians having traveled to the listed countries within the last two weeks will be tested at the airport, despite their vaccination status and Covid testing in the listed countries. Such travelers need to quarantine while they wait for the test results.

3. The on-arrival test is mandatory for all travelers coming from any country except the US
Travelers entering Canada from any country except the US now need to get Covid testing done on the airports and quarantine themselves until they get the results.

4. A pre-departure test is also essential before arriving in Canada
Besides the on-arrival test paid for by the Federal Government, the pre-departure test is also crucial for all travelers entering Canada. Unvaccinated travelers need to get 14-day quarantine before the pre-departure test, and after arrival at the airport, they must get on-arrival testing and quarantine for 8-days.

In the United States, the government has made it compulsory for passengers to get their Covid testing done one day before the flight regardless of their vaccination status. The earlier timeline was of 3-days before onboarding the flight.

US government has imposed a complete ban on foreign travelers from 8 South African countries, including Mozambique, Lesotho, Eswatini, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Namibia, Malawi, and Botswana.
